SECURITY PRECAUTIONS

We would like to inform you about security precautions that will accompany the CHEP´09 Conference. During this half of year, the Czech Republic is presiding over the meetings of EU-27. The important meetings connected with the EU presidency are being held in the Prague Congress Centre and are followed by enhanced security regulations. The Meeting of EU Ministers for Education will take place in the Prague Congress Centre on March 22 - 23, i.e. at the same time as the CHEP´09 Conference.

That is the reason why stricter security precautions will apply during two days of the Conference – Sunday, March 22 and Monday, March 23 and why we would like you to pay attention to the following lines.

Every registered participant should provide her/his identity data which will be given to the Police of the Czech Republic for a security check at least one week before the Conference. The Identity Form can be found at the conference website: https://secure.guarant.cz/chep2009/UserPages/InteractiveAppForms.aspx Please fill in the password which you received when registering for the Conference and complete the Identity Form.

In case you have lost your password, please contact the Conference Secretariat (please find details below). We need you to complete the Identity Form until Monday, March 16 at the latest. Important: You should bring the identity document provided in the on-line Identity Form with you to the Czech Republic and have it at all times with you.

After registering in the Prague Congress Centre, each participant will pass through the security gate (if you have any bags, these will be also checked). Any dangerous item in possession of a participant, over which the security staff has a concern, will be collected by the security officer in deposit and given back at the end of the day.
